What is standard translation?+
Standard translations are used for business and personal purposes: employee manuals, emails, text messages, financial statements, press releases, legal contracts, blog posts and much more. We translate both documents and text-based content, and deliver in an editable format.
When do I need certified translation instead?+
Whenever the office receiving the document requires a signed certification of accuracy — USCIS, courts, universities and most government agencies do. A standard translation conveys meaning; a certified one comes with the statement those institutions ask for. If you are not sure which you need, ask whoever is going to receive it before ordering.
What will you deliver to me?+
An editable Microsoft Word document (.docx). If you need another format — .pages, .txt, .rtf and so on — we can usually accommodate it. Standard translations include basic formatting; if your document has complex formatting, or the translation has to be done inside the file you supply, contact us with a description of what you need.
How long does it take?+
It depends on the word count, the language pair, current demand, translator availability and how complex the source is. In general a 1–3 page document, up to around 750 words, is delivered digitally within 24 hours. Expedited turnaround roughly halves that. You will see an estimate on the order page before you place it.
Can you help me count the words in my documents?+

Who will translate my documents?+
A professional human translator — we use no machine translation. Our translators work all over the world and typically have at least five years of professional experience. Many hold accreditations, though that varies by translator, as there is no single worldwide accreditation for the profession.
