What districts usually ask for
Enrollment checklists are set district by district and they genuinely differ, so the registrar's list is the one that matters. That said, the same items recur:
- Report cards and school records from the last year or two
- A transcript or subject list for students entering high school
- A leaving certificate for anyone who finished secondary school abroad
- Proof of the child's age and identity, usually a birth certificate
- An immunization record, which most states require before the first day
- Sometimes an enrollment certificate from the previous school
Placement is the district's call, not ours
A registrar decides which grade a child enters, and they decide it from the records. Our part is to make those records say in English exactly what they say in the original — the year completed, the subjects, the marks and the scale they sit on — without converting, interpreting or smoothing anything over.

A certified translation is a word-for-word translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is what official bodies require: USCIS, courts, universities and government agencies. Certified translations are $24.95 per page, where a page is up to 250 words.
A standard translation is for business or personal use where certification is not needed, such as CVs, client intake forms or marketing material, and is billed at $0.10 per word.
