Palm Beach State College asks international (F-1) applicants to accompany any foreign-language document with a certified English translation that includes an attestation signed by the translator, stating fluency in both languages and competence to translate accurately.
Palm Beach State College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
High school diplomas need a translation only in character-based languages, and credit for foreign college work needs a NACES course-by-course evaluation, which we do not provide.

Palm Beach State requirements in detail
Translation
Any document in a foreign language needs a certified English translation with an attestation signed by the translator (International admissions).
Who may translate
A translator who signs that attestation: fluent in English and the original language, and competent to render a true and accurate translation (International admissions).
High school diploma
No translation needed, except for character-based languages such as Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Chinese and Japanese (International admissions).
Copies or originals
Originals (copied and returned on request) or certified copies, in person or by mail; uncertified copies need a document-by-document evaluation from a NACES-approved agency (International admissions).
British-based systems
GCE, CXC, BGCSE, WAEC, WASC or HKCE certificates with at least five academic passes (International admissions).
Foreign college credit
Optional. To transfer credits, a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES member, sent to transcriptevaluation@pbsc.edu or in a sealed envelope; if you listed the school but do not want credit, ask for a waiver (International admissions, NACES rule).
Residents and US applicants
Out-of-country records only as originals or copies certified by the US Consulate or the Ministry of Education; foreign high school completion is subject to the college's evaluation (Submit/request transcripts: out-of-country credentials, catalog).
Where to send
Email PDFs to international@pbsc.edu or bring them to Room 126/127, PG building, Lake Worth campus, with your PBSC student ID number (International admissions).
A certified translation means a signed attestation
Palm Beach State defines what it means by "certified".
The translation must include an attestation signed by the translator saying they are fluent in both English and the language of the document and competent to render a true and accurate translation (International admissions).
It does not require a particular kind of translator, a notary or an agency in your country.
The same page exempts most high school diplomas: they do not need a translation unless they are written in a character-based language, such as Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Chinese or Japanese.
A diploma in Spanish, French or Portuguese can go as it is; transcripts, mark sheets and other documents in a foreign language still need the certified translation.
Originals, certified copies, or an evaluation
Palm Beach State takes foreign education records as originals, which staff copy and return to you on request, or as certified copies.
If you send uncertified copies, by email or otherwise, they must come with a document-by-document evaluation from a NACES-approved agency, emailed to admissions@pbsc.edu or delivered in a sealed envelope (International admissions).
Foreign college transcripts are optional. Send them only if you want credit, with a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES member (International admissions).
The transcripts page names Josef Silny & Associates and World Education Services as agencies you can apply to directly (Submit/request transcripts: out-of-country credentials).
Where Palm Beach State's pages differ
The international admissions page requires a certified translation for any foreign-language document and accepts uncertified copies if they come with a NACES document-by-document evaluation.
The catalog says foreign-language documents "may be required" to have certified translations, and, like the transcripts page, accepts copies only if certified by the US Consulate or the Ministry of Education.
We have not resolved these differences; ask the Office of International Admissions and Recruitment which one applies to you.

Uploading the translation to Palm Beach State
After the application and fee, email the documents and their certified translations as PDFs to international@pbsc.edu, or bring them to Room 126/127, PG building, Lake Worth campus; include your PBSC student ID number with every submission (International admissions).
Evaluations go to admissions@pbsc.edu (high school) or transcriptevaluation@pbsc.edu (college), or in a sealed envelope (International admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Palm Beach State that means we translate your records with a signed certificate of accuracy; the document-by-document or course-by-course evaluation comes from a NACES agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
What does Palm Beach State mean by a certified translation?
A translation with an attestation signed by the translator stating fluency in both languages and competence to translate accurately (International admissions). eVerbary's signed certificate of translation accuracy is that attestation.
Does my high school diploma need a translation?
Only if it is in a character-based language, such as Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Chinese or Japanese (International admissions).
Can I email a scan of my diploma?
Yes, but uncertified copies need a document-by-document evaluation from a NACES-approved agency (International admissions).
Do I have to send my foreign university transcripts?
No, they are optional. If you listed the school on your application but do not want credit, request a waiver by email (International admissions).
Which evaluation agencies are accepted?
NACES members only (Academic management manual: foreign transcript evaluation).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
