A Panamanian power for acts touching property or a company is an escritura pública and is inscribed at the Registro Público, where its entry can be searched online.

The cédula, and the passport route
Panamanians are identified by cédula, written with a province prefix and sometimes the letters PE, E or N for those born abroad or naturalised.
