A notarial deed, not a one-page form
In most of the world a power of attorney is a notarial instrument: a deed drawn up before a notary, carrying a protocol or registry number, the identification of both parties, a long enumerated list of the powers granted, and a closing formula with stamps, seals and sometimes an apostille. Poder notarial, procuração, Vollmacht, procuration — the name changes, the structure rarely does.
