Service books, discharge papers and exemptions
Countries with conscription document military status in ways the United States has no equivalent for: a service booklet stamped over years, a discharge certificate, a reserve classification, or a certificate stating that someone was exempted or never called up. All of them count as military records, and an exemption is a record just as much as a discharge is.

A standard translation is for business or personal use where certification is not needed, such as CVs, client intake forms or marketing material, and is billed at $0.10 per word.
