The Office of the Company Registrar
A Nepali company is registered with the Office of the Company Registrar under the Companies Act 2063, and holds a memorandum (prabandhapatra) and articles (niyamawali) alongside the registration certificate. Both constitutive documents, and an office asking for "the articles" usually needs both.
The private limited company is the dominant form and the designation is part of the legal name.
Bikram Sambat dates
Nepali documents are dated in the Bikram Sambat calendar, roughly 56 years and 8 months ahead of the Gregorian, with months of varying length that change from year to year. There is no formula: a Bikram Sambat date is converted against a table, not by arithmetic.
So 2081 is 2024 into 2025, and the exact Gregorian date depends on the month. We convert each individually and show both, which matters when a filing deadline is being assessed.
PAN, VAT and the local registrations
The company holds a PAN from the Inland Revenue Department and, above a threshold, a VAT registration; it also registers with the local ward or municipality. Several numbers, each reproduced as labelled.
Annual filings go to the Company Registrar, and the registrar's status record is what evidences that the company is current.
Devanagari, and the names
Nepali is written in Devanagari and romanises inconsistently — Shrestha and Shresth, Kumar as a given name or a component, caste and ethnic surnames with several accepted spellings. We follow the passport where one exists and note genuine variants.
