Four documents
Citizenship, high school, support, vaccines.

SOWELA requirements in detail
Translation
All documents must be in English or accompanied by certified translations in English (International students).
Who may translate
Not stated (International students).
Documents for the I-20
Birth certificate or other proof of citizenship, proof of high school completion, an affidavit of support and proof of immunization (International students).
Evaluation
None named (International students).
English
ACT or ACCUPLACER entrance scores, or TOEFL 450 paper-based or 133 computer-based (International students).
Visa status
F-1 or M-1 only; full-time enrollment, and proof that funds for the whole stay are available (International students).
Not only school records
SOWELA's rule covers every document behind the I-20, so the translation order is usually four items: a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship, proof of high school completion, the affidavit of support with its bank documents, and the vaccination record (International students). Each one not in English needs a certified English translation.
A technical college with M-1 students
SOWELA admits students on F-1 or M-1 visas only, which suits its technical programs; both must study full-time and cannot work during their studies, and the funds for tuition and living costs must be immediately available for the whole stay (International students).
For questions, SOWELA's international admissions line is (337) 421-6565.

- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to SOWELA
Submit the documents and their certified translations with your SOWELA application, as the One Stop Center instructs (International students).
We can send the translation directly to the admissions office by email on request.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does SOWELA accept an eVerbary translation?

Which documents need translating?
Any of the birth certificate, proof of high school completion, affidavit of support and immunization proof not in English (International students).
Do I need a credential evaluation?
SOWELA's international page names none (International students).
Which visas does SOWELA accept?
