How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Delgado Community College asks first-time international applicants for a foreign transcript translated into English or a foreign transcript evaluation, and says all foreign documents must be translated into English; it does not say who must translate.

Delgado Community College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

A NACES evaluation is needed only for limited admission programs and for credit from schools abroad, and that evaluation is something we do not provide.

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Delgado asks for a "Foreign transcript translated or a foreign transcript evaluation" and does not restrict who translates (first-time students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

Delgado requirements in detail

Translation

A foreign transcript translated, or a foreign transcript evaluation; all foreign documents must be translated into English (International first-time students).

Who may translate

Evaluation

Needed for limited admission programs that require separate admission, and for foreign credit: a general equivalency for high school, a NACES course-by-course report for university records (International first-time students).

For transfer credit

The course-by-course report, the official college transcript and the course descriptions or syllabi for the courses you want credited (International first-time students).

F-1 transfers

All documents must be translated into English; the foreign transcript evaluation is optional (transfer students).

Deadlines

First-time: before July 1 for fall, October 1 for spring. Transfers: August 10, January 10, May 10 (FAQ).

Translation for admission, evaluation for selective programs

For most programs Delgado lets you choose: upload your foreign transcript translated into English, or a foreign transcript evaluation (International first-time students).

The evaluation becomes necessary when you apply to a limited admission program with its own admission, or want credit for college courses taken abroad; Delgado's FAQ says the course-by-course evaluation and course descriptions are only needed for selective admission programs (International students: questions and answers).

If you only have high school records, a translation is usually the faster and cheaper route; ask for a general equivalency if a program does require an evaluation.

Every foreign document in English

Delgado's reminder is broad: all foreign documents must be translated into English, and incomplete applications are not processed (International first-time students).

That covers the bank letter or statements showing $20,300 and the notarized statement of financial support, not only transcripts; uploads must be clear and readable, and suspected fraudulent documents lead to denial and a report to your US embassy.

F-1 transfers follow the same rule, and for credit they submit in English the course-by-course report, the official transcript and the course descriptions or syllabi (International transfer students).

  • University transcripts or mark sheets

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Delgado

  • Upload the original documents and their English translations with the International Application for Admissions; Delgado notifies you if more documents are needed (International first-time students). Questions go to ISA@dcc.edu.

  • We deliver the certified translation as a PDF ready to upload, and can send it directly to the admissions office by email on request.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Delgado that means we translate your transcripts, diplomas and financial documents; a NACES evaluation, if your program requires one, is ordered by you from the agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Delgado accept an eVerbary translation?

Delgado asks for the foreign transcript translated into English and does not say who must translate (International first-time students); a certified translation from a professional service qualifies.

Do I need a credential evaluation for Delgado?

Only for limited admission programs and for foreign credit; otherwise a translated transcript is accepted (International first-time students, FAQ).

Which documents must be in English?

All foreign documents, including financial ones (International first-time students).

What are the deadlines for new international students?

Before July 1 for fall and before October 1 for spring (International students: questions and answers).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
