Otero at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Otero's catalog asks for secondary school records "with translation" if they are not in English and for an English translation of the immunization record, without restricting who translates (catalog: international admission); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 28, 2026.

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

Otero requirements in detail
Translation
Secondary school records in a language other than English come with a translation (Otero College catalog: student affairs and international admission).
Who may translate
What the record shows
Date of graduation, courses taken and grades earned, with the official seal of the issuing school (Otero College catalog: student affairs and international admission).
Immunizations
After acceptance, a copy of the immunization record and an English translation if it is not in English (Otero College catalog: student affairs and international admission).
Evaluation
None listed for admission (Otero College catalog: student affairs and international admission).
Funds
An official bank statement bearing the bank's seal, or a notarized affidavit of support; the catalog cites $21,500 for one year (2024/25) (Otero College catalog: student affairs and international admission).
Delivery
Official transcripts sent directly from your school to the Otero Registrar, by electronic delivery to otero-admissions@otero.edu or by mail (Otero College: international students).
The secondary school record and its translation
The international admission section of Otero's catalog is precise about the school record: it must show your date of graduation, the courses you took and the grades you earned, carry the official seal of the institution that issued it, and come with a translation if it is in another language.
A translation that reproduces the seal and the graduation date, not only the grade table, answers each point. Native English speakers' records also serve to verify that English was the language of instruction.
Otero's international checklist asks for official transcripts sent directly from your school to the Registrar, electronically or by mail. Send your translation to otero-international@otero.edu with the rest of your application materials.
After acceptance: vaccines and funds
Once accepted, you submit a copy of your immunization record with an English translation if it is not in English, a housing application if you live on campus, and complete course placement before registering (Otero College catalog: student affairs and international admission).
For the visa paperwork, Otero asks for an official financial statement bearing the bank's seal, or a notarized affidavit of support for funds that are not your own; bank letters in another language are usually translated at the same time. F-1 and M-1 students must keep at least 15 credit hours a semester.

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
How to order

- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
