How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
Forsyth Tech asks F-1 applicants for complete official secondary and post-secondary records with certified translations, and for certified translations of financial, birth and dependents' documents not in English.
Forsyth Technical Community College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Its catalog is stricter for some records: high school transcripts translated through an accredited agency with translators certified by ATA, which eVerbary provides on request, and college transcripts from abroad translated and evaluated by a NACES member, which we do not do.
Forsyth Tech at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Forsyth Tech's international student page asks for academic records "with certified translations" and does not say who must make them (international students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

Financial documents in English or with a certified translation; dependents' documents and, without a passport, a birth certificate, with a certified translation (International students).
Who may translate
F-1 page: not stated (International students). Catalog: high school transcripts through an accredited agency; translators should be certified by the American Translators Association (catalog).

A high school transcript has not been required for admission since June 1, 2021; it may be needed for transfer credit or prerequisites (Academic catalog 2026-2027: admissions).

Where Forsyth Tech's pages differ
The international student page asks for academic records "with certified translations" and uses the same wording for bank statements, birth certificates and dependents' documents, without naming a translator type (international students).
The 2026-2027 catalog says international high school transcripts must be translated by an accredited agency to verify their equivalence to a US diploma, and that translators should be certified by the American Translators Association (catalog).
If you want to meet the catalog wording for a high school record, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA for the languages ATA certifies: ask for a free quote and mention Forsyth Tech. eVerbary is an ATA corporate member (#273062). For other high school documents, see high school diploma translation.
Credit for college study abroad goes through NACES
For transfer credit, the catalog asks that transcripts from a higher education institution outside the US be translated and evaluated by a NACES member before Forsyth Tech reviews them (Academic catalog 2026-2027: admissions); the F-1 page says the same in its FAQ, an evaluation by an outside agency that the Records office then reviews (International students).
That wording puts the translation of college transcripts with the agency; some NACES members accept a translation you bring them and others translate in-house, so ask the agency first. See translation for credential evaluation.
Credit requires a C or better and comparable content; courses in some computing prefixes older than ten years need a dean's approval (Academic catalog 2026-2027: admissions).

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.

Uploading the translation to Forsyth Tech
F-1 applicants send the records, the certified translations and the financial documents with the international application; Forsyth Tech issues the I-20 once all requirements are met (International students).
For credit, the NACES evaluation goes to the Records office, which reviews it for transfer credit; questions go to records@forsythtech.edu (Academic catalog 2026-2027: admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Forsyth Tech that means we translate your records, bank statement and certificates; the NACES translation and evaluation of college transcripts for transfer credit come from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Forsyth Tech accept a certified translation from a translation company?
Its international student page asks for certified translations and does not restrict who makes them (International students). The catalog adds that translators of high school transcripts should be ATA-certified (Academic catalog 2026-2027: admissions); eVerbary can provide one on request.
Do I need my high school transcript to be admitted?
Not since June 1, 2021, although it may be required for prerequisites or transfer credit (Academic catalog 2026-2027: admissions). F-1 applicants still provide complete secondary records (International students).
How do I get credit for courses taken abroad?
Have your college transcripts translated and evaluated by a NACES member; the Records office then reviews the evaluation (Academic catalog 2026-2027: admissions).
Does my bank statement need a translation?
Yes, if it is not in English: a certified translation (International students).
When are the F-1 deadlines?
For applicants outside the US, May 1 for fall and September 1 for spring (International students).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
