Two scripts, both genuine
Uzbek has been written in Cyrillic and in Latin, and the switch between them has been gradual and is still not complete. A family file can hold a Soviet-era certificate in Cyrillic, a 2000s document in early Latin orthography and a recent one in the current spelling — all Uzbek, all genuine, none of them matching the others letter for letter.

ZAGS records, and Russian entries
Uzbek civil records come from the civil registry that succeeded the Soviet ZAGS. Certificates issued before 1991 remain valid and are frequently in Russian; both are ordinary and we translate either — see our Russian page.
Russian-influenced name forms appear alongside Uzbek ones, sometimes for the same person across documents. We follow the passport and note genuine differences.
What USCIS requires
Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.

A standard translation is for business or personal use where certification is not needed, such as CVs, client intake forms or marketing material, and is billed at the same $24.95 per page of up to 250 words.
