The anyakönyvi kivonat
Hungarian births are registered by the civil registry and the certificate is the születési anyakönyvi kivonat, an extract from the register. Older records come from registries in territories that are now in neighbouring countries, which is where the registration happened rather than an irregularity — and those entries are frequently in Hungarian even where the territory is not.

Surname first, and married-name forms
Hungarian writes the family name before the given name, so a document reading "Nagy István" is Mr István Nagy. A translation that carries the order across without saying so hands a US office a reversed name, and the mismatch surfaces later at the worst moment. We make the order explicit.
Hungarian married-name forms go further: a woman's legal name can contain her husband's complete name plus the suffix -né and none of her own given name. That is her legal name, not an error, and the translation explains the form rather than reconstructing something more familiar.
What USCIS requires
Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.
