The Sudan Certificate
The national school-leaving exam is the Sudan School Certificate (al-shahada al-sudaniya), supervised by the General Directorate for Evaluation and Examinations of the Federal Ministry of General Education, with results validated by the Sudan Examination Board. Candidates need a national number to sit it. The certificate lists the subjects taken and the marks, and is usually in Arabic.
The school structure has changed over the years, with a six-three-three structure introduced recently, so older and newer certificates may describe the stages differently. Exams held during the war
The war that began in April 2023 postponed two cohorts. The 2022/23 cohort sat the exam on 28 December 2024 and the 2023/24 cohort in March 2025, in many states, and refugee students abroad could register. A certificate from those sittings is translated with the exam session exactly as printed.

What USCIS requires
Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.
