The EPI card, and the campaign doses
Pakistani childhood immunisation is recorded on an EPI card under the Expanded Programme on Immunization, stamped at the vaccination centre, and increasingly in a digital registry from which a certificate can be printed.
Pakistan runs frequent polio campaigns delivering additional oral doses outside the routine schedule, which may be recorded separately, on a finger-marking basis, or not at all. We reproduce what is recorded and do not infer a series.
BCG and OPV at birth
Pakistan gives BCG and OPV at birth, neither of them routine US vaccines, and the BCG leaves a scar a US examiner asks about.
We give the entry as recorded and the standard English designation. A US reader assessing completeness against a US schedule is comparing two different programmes.
Where the clinical record sits
Care runs through government hospitals, a very large private sector, and employer and armed forces systems, and each keeps its own record. Patients hold discharge slips, prescriptions and laboratory reports.
