The types, named in the statute
Nicaraguan law names the forms of mandate — generalísimo, general de administración, generalísimo de administración and especial — and the type printed on the instrument determines its reach.
A poder generalísimo is the broadest and is what a disposal requires. An administration power presented for a sale is refused. We name the type as printed rather than flattening all of them to "power of attorney".
The lawyer-notary, and the protocol
A Nicaraguan notary is a lawyer authorised by the Corte Suprema, keeps a protocol, and issues a testimonio bearing the instrument number and the year.
The notary's authorisation is time-limited and renewed, and the instrument records it. We reproduce the notary's details as printed.

Parties are identified by cédula de identidad, a fourteen-character code combining the municipality of birth, the date of birth and a letter.
