The registration certificate, and the road police
Armenia issues a vehicle registration certificate through the road police, naming the owner, the plate, the VIN and the technical data, now as a plastic card.
It is the ownership document. Armenia has digitised much of the process and a recent certificate carries an electronic reference. We reproduce it.
The customs union changed everything
Armenia joined the Eurasian Economic Union in 2015, which changed import duties sharply, and vehicles imported before and after carry different customs status and different resale rules within the union.
A car imported under the old rates may face a duty difference if moved to another member state. That status is in the paperwork and a buyer examines it.
Notarised sale, or the simplified route
A transfer may be made by a notarised contract or through a simplified registration procedure, and the two leave different traces in the file.
A vehicle with unpaid fines or a court restriction cannot be re-registered. We translate the clearance where the file holds it.

Owners are identified by a public services number and passport details.
