The BRTA registration certificate
Bangladesh registers vehicles through the BRTA, issuing a registration certificate — the "blue book" — naming the owner, the engine and chassis numbers, the class and the registration number.
It is the ownership document, and a Bangladeshi plate carries a district or metro prefix, a class letter and a serial. We reproduce the full plate as printed.
Fitness, tax token and route permit
A Bangladeshi vehicle must also hold a fitness certificate, a tax token and, for commercial use, a route permit, each with its own expiry.

Digital plates, and the RFID
Bangladesh introduced retro-reflective digital number plates with an embedded RFID tag, so a newer vehicle carries a registration linked to that tag.
An older vehicle may still carry a painted plate pending conversion. Both appear in files and neither is defective.
Hypothecation, and the identifiers
A financed vehicle carries a hypothecation entry naming the bank, removed only on the lender's release.
