The analítico, and the legalisations stapled to it
The Argentine transcript is the certificado analítico, listing subjects, marks and the dates each was passed, on a 1 to 10 scale. What surprises people is what travels with it: analíticos and diplomas commonly carry a chain of legalisations — the university, then the education ministry, then the foreign ministry, then an apostille — each a stamp or a sheet added to the document.
Those pages are part of what you are submitting and are translated with the record. See also our Argentine birth certificate page.
The diploma is the easy half
A degree certificate says you graduated. The transcript says what you studied, how you were assessed and how many hours it took, and it is the document an admissions office or a credential evaluator actually reads. It is also the harder document: a table of dozens of rows where every course title, mark, credit value and term has to survive in the same order and the same structure.
Grades are reproduced, never converted. Turning a foreign scale into a US grade point average is credential evaluation, not translation, and the agencies each require something different — WES will not accept a translation made by the applicant, while others will. Check yours before ordering anything.
What USCIS requires
Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.
State agencies set their own rules — see government agencies — and what our certification states is set out on this page.
How it works
Upload a photo or a scan of your document, pick the language pair and check out online. You never have to mail originals: a legible copy is all we need.
A professional human translator, never machine translation, translates the document word for word and mirrors the layout of the original. Every certified translation ships with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy that meets the requirements of USCIS, courts and universities.
Your translation is delivered digitally, usually within 24 hours for documents of one to three pages, and same-day delivery is available. If anything needs adjusting, we revise it.
Certified vs. standard translation
A certified translation is a word-for-word translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is what official bodies require: USCIS, courts, universities and government agencies. Certified translations are $24.95 per page, where a page is up to 250 words.
A standard translation is for business or personal use where certification is not needed, such as CVs, client intake forms or marketing material, and is billed at the same $24.95 per page of up to 250 words.
Frequently asked questions
Do you translate the legalisation stamps and the apostille?
Yes, all of them. They are what establishes the chain of authenticity and an office reading the file will look for them.
Will you convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. We reproduce the scale exactly as your transcript states it, including any key printed on the document. Converting it is credential evaluation and an agency does that.
Do you translate the diploma as well?
Yes. Send both in one order — it is also how we keep your name spelled identically across the two.
How is a multi-page transcript priced?
At $24.95 per page of up to 250 words. Transcripts are dense, so one sheet can count as more than one page; send it through the quote form for an exact figure.
