SUNEDU registration and the certificado de estudios
Peruvian degrees are registered with SUNEDU, the national university supervisory authority, and the registration is what allows a degree to be verified. The academic record is the certificado de estudios, listing courses, credits and marks on a 0 to 20 scale where a pass is usually 11 — a scale a US reader will misread badly without the key.
Degrees are issued as bachiller and then título profesional, which are two distinct qualifications rather than one; sending only one of them when both were requested is a common delay. See also our Peruvian birth certificate page.
The diploma is the easy half
A degree certificate says you graduated. The transcript says what you studied, how you were assessed and how many hours it took, and it is the document an admissions office or a credential evaluator actually reads. It is also the harder document: a table of dozens of rows where every course title, mark, credit value and term has to survive in the same order and the same structure.
Grades are reproduced, never converted. Turning a foreign scale into a US grade point average is credential evaluation, not translation, and the agencies each require something different — WES will not accept a translation made by the applicant, while others will. Check yours before ordering anything.
What USCIS requires
Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.

Are bachiller and título profesional the same thing?
No. They are two distinct Peruvian qualifications and institutions often ask for both. Check the list you were given before ordering.
Will you convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. We reproduce the scale exactly as your transcript states it, including any key printed on the document. Converting it is credential evaluation and an agency does that.
Do you translate the diploma as well?
