How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

The University of Redlands, Los Angeles, formerly Woodbury University, asks international first-year, transfer and graduate applicants to submit official transcripts with certified English translations of all non-English documents, and a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES member that the applicant orders; it does not say who must translate.

The University of Redlands, Los Angeles accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The NACES evaluation is a separate report, which we do not produce.

Woodbury (URLA) at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

URLA's international admission pages ask for "certified English translations for all non-English documents" and name no translator (undergraduate, graduate); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Woodbury (URLA) requirements in detail

Translation

Certified English translations of all non-English documents, with the official transcripts (undergraduate, graduate).

Who may translate

Not stated.

Evaluation

A course-by-course foreign credential evaluation from a NACES member, ordered and submitted by the applicant (International undergraduate applicants).

Which records

First-year: high school transcripts through 11th grade, final transcript before enrollment. Transfer: all college transcripts, plus high school records if you have no associate degree (International undergraduate applicants).

Delivery

Unofficial uploads to the URLA application; official copies via Parchment, Naviance or the Clearinghouse, or by mail sealed and signed by the school (International undergraduate applicants).

I-20 deadlines

August 7, 2026 for fall 2026; December 4, 2026 for spring 2027 (International undergraduate applicants).

Status change

Changing from F-2 to F-1 needs a marriage certificate translated into English (International student services).

Translation and evaluation, both

The same sentence appears for first-year, transfer and graduate applicants on URLA's undergraduate and graduate pages: submit official transcripts along with certified English translations for all non-English documents, and a course-by-course foreign credential evaluation from a NACES-approved organization, completed and submitted by the applicant.

So you translate once and use the translation twice: with your transcripts for the admission file, and with your records for the NACES agency, which sets its own rule; WES, for example, accepts translations by professional services and not by applicants.

First-year applicants send high school transcripts that include 11th grade and a final transcript showing graduation before enrollment; transfer applicants, with at least 24 transferable units, send all college transcripts and, without an associate degree, high school records too (International undergraduate applicants). For the school record, see high school diploma translation.

Woodbury is now URLA

Woodbury University in Burbank now operates as the University of Redlands, Los Angeles.

Undergraduates apply through the URLA application or the Common App and mail official records to the Burbank admissions office; graduate applicants apply through the University of Redlands portal, and mailed transcripts go to Graduate and Professional Enrollment in Redlands (International graduate applicants).

Graduate admission is rolling. Design programs such as Animation and VFX, Fashion Design and Game Art ask for a portfolio, and the architecture master's is on ArchCAS (undergraduate, graduate).

After admission, the I-20 needs a passport copy and an original bank statement on letterhead issued no earlier than six months before enrollment; students changing from F-2 to F-1 add a marriage certificate translated into English (admission, student services).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For URLA that means we translate your records; the NACES course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from the agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
