Union Adventist University publishes no translation rule of its own: international applicants submit their transcripts through World Education Services and forward the evaluated transcript to the university, which also bases international scholarships on grades as converted by WES.
Union Adventist's evaluation agency, WES, accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. You translate first and upload the translation to WES; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

Why the WES translation matters twice
At Union Adventist, the WES evaluation decides admission and money: scholarships for international students are based on the GPA as converted by WES, with full tuition for a 3.9 and an ACT of 33 or higher in the published table (International students checklist).
WES works from the documents and translations you give it, so a complete translation of every year, with the grading scale and any failed or repeated courses, matters for the scholarship as well as for admission.
WES wants a precise, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency, in the same order as the original; it does not accept translations by applicants and does not translate documents itself.
Its help center describes the same rule as translations from your academic institution or a certified translation service (WES help center).
Where Union Adventist's page differs
The checklist sends the WES evaluation and test scores to enroll@uau.edu, but tells applicants to send the I-20 paperwork (affidavit of support, bank statements, passport page) to enroll@ucollege.edu, the address of the university's former name, Union College (International students checklist). Confirm the address with admissions before sending documents.

- Secondary school diploma or leaving certificate

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Union Adventist
Upload the translation with your documents in your WES account; after WES completes the evaluation, forward the evaluated transcript to enroll@uau.edu (International students checklist).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Union Adventist that means we translate your records; the WES evaluation, and the GPA it reports, come from WES.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions

How much is the deposit for the I-20?
