Texas State at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Texas State's international admissions page says a transcript not in English must be translated "by a certified translation service" and that it does not endorse specific services (admissions requirements), so a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets it. No WES

Two sealed copies
Graduate: original-language transcript and certified English translation.
Texas State requirements in detail
Translation
A certified translation must accompany original records not in English (International admissions requirements and FAQ, catalog).
Who may translate
A certified translation service; translations by applicants or students are not accepted (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
Evaluation
Done in house by the Office of Admissions using AACRAO guidance; Texas State does not use agencies such as WES (International admissions requirements and FAQ). The Graduate College says transcript evaluations are not required (Graduate catalog: international admission documents).
Copies or originals (freshmen)
Original documents, or copies certified by your school or a US embassy or consulate official (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
Transfer applicants
Official college or university transcripts from each college attended; unofficial college transcripts are not accepted (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
Official delivery
Your school mails the official transcript or emails it as a PDF to processing@txstate.edu; it must arrive before registration for your second term (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
Graduate College
Two official university-sealed transcripts and two diploma copies per university: one in the original language and one certified English translation, sent by post (Graduate catalog: international admission documents).
A certified service, and not you
Texas State's international FAQ is direct: applicants must submit English-language documents, a transcript not in English must be translated by a certified translation service, Texas State does not endorse specific services, and it does not accept translations done by applicants or students (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
The undergraduate catalog repeats the requirement for a certified English translation of the original academic records (Undergraduate catalog: international admission).
The same FAQ describes one delivery route: if your school sent your transcript to a translation service, the service may email both the English translation and the original transcript to processing@txstate.edu with a statement that it verifies the original is authentic (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
That route assumes your school sent the transcript to the translator; if you order the translation yourself, ask the Office of Admissions how it wants the translation and the official transcript to arrive.
No WES: Texas State evaluates your transcript
Texas State performs in-house evaluations of international transcripts and says it does not use guidance from third-party agencies such as WES; its specialists rely on AACRAO information about each country's education system, and it publishes grade-conversion charts by country (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
It generally transfers credit from programs recognized by the country's Ministry of Education, and credits may not convert one to one, for example 6 ECTS becoming 3 US credit hours.
For the translation, that means Texas State reads the grades and the grading scale from your translated transcript. We translate them exactly as recorded and do not convert them.
Graduate College: two sealed copies
The Graduate College asks for two official, university-sealed transcripts (and mark sheets) from every university attended: one in the native language of the country and one certified translation into English, plus two copies of the diploma on the same pattern (Graduate catalog: international admission documents).
Records must arrive by post in an envelope sealed by the university, on university letterhead with official stamps and signatures; copies may be uploaded to the application portal for review.
The Graduate College page does not say who makes the certified translation. Because it describes both copies as sealed by the university, ask the Office of Admissions whether a translation from a professional service can travel with your university's sealed transcript before you order.
Need a certified translation for Texas State?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- Secondary school transcripts for every semester and the graduation or school-leaving exam results
- University transcripts from each college attended, for transfer applicants
- Mark sheets and degree certificates, for the Graduate College
- WAEC results, where Texas State also asks for the scratch card or results checker
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Texas State
Undergraduates send the original records with the certified translation; Texas State generally decides on unofficial copies and then needs the official transcript from your school by mail or by email to processing@txstate.edu (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
Graduate applicants upload copies of transcripts, mark sheets and translations to the application portal for review, then have the official sealed records posted to the Office of Admissions (Graduate catalog: international admission documents).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Texas State that means we translate your records; the official transcript comes from your school, and Texas State evaluates it itself.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I translate my own transcript for Texas State?
No. Texas State does not accept translations done by applicants or students (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
Which translation service does Texas State recommend?
None. It asks for a certified translation service and does not endorse specific services (International admissions requirements and FAQ). A certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary qualifies.
Do I need a WES or ECE evaluation?
No. Texas State evaluates international transcripts in house and does not use agencies such as WES (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
Can I send unofficial transcripts first?
Freshmen generally can, with the official transcript sent by the school afterwards; transfer applicants' unofficial college transcripts are not accepted (International admissions requirements and FAQ).
What does the Graduate College need?
Two official sealed transcripts and diplomas per university, one in the original language and one certified English translation; no evaluation (Graduate catalog: international admission documents).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
