Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Regis College's public pages (sources).

Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, requires transfer applicants with college coursework from outside the US to have their transcripts translated and evaluated by a recognized agency such as WES, ECE or the Foundation for International Services, and graduate applicants to submit evaluated and translated transcripts from a NACES member.

Regis College's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

You order the translation first and give it to the agency with your records; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript

This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice

  • CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
  • Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
  • Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
  • Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

Regis College requirements in detail

Translation

No separate rule; transcripts from abroad are translated and evaluated through a recognized agency.

Who may translate

Set by the agency: WES wants a professional translator (WES); ECE also accepts the applicant's own translation (ECE).

Transfer applicants

College coursework outside the US: transcripts translated and evaluated by a recognized agency such as WES, ECE or FIS (Undergraduate international admission process).

Graduate applicants

Official evaluated and translated transcripts, evaluated by a NACES member (Graduate school international admission process).

Nursing (MSN)

BSN completed outside the US: course-by-course evaluation from TruMerit (Graduate school international admission process).

Applied behavior analysis

For future BACB certification, use FIS, the BACB's vendor for international credentials (Graduate school international admission process).

First-year applicants

Common Application, official transcripts, English proficiency (TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.5, CAE 169, Duolingo 105), passport and financial documents; rolling admission (Undergraduate international admission process).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

Regis names World Education Services, Educational Credential Evaluators and the Foundation for International Services.

WES requires a word-for-word translation by a professional translator such as a certified translation agency, does not accept translations made by applicants, and does not translate documents itself.

ECE asks for a complete, literal translation in the same format as the original, lets applicants translate their own documents, and sells an $85 Translation Waiver under which it translates only for its report.

Because Regis asks for transcripts that are both translated and evaluated, a certified translation from eVerbary goes to the agency with your records; the report then reaches Regis from the agency.

Program rules: nursing and behavior analysis

Two graduate areas set their own agency.

Every MS in Nursing applicant whose BSN was completed outside the US needs a course-by-course credential evaluation from TruMerit, and applicants who plan to seek BACB certification in behavior analysis should use FIS, the vendor the BACB currently requires for international credentials (graduate process).

Regis advises checking the latest BCBA handbook to confirm the vendor, since exam eligibility decisions belong to the BACB.

First-year applicants

International first-year applicants, meaning anyone without US citizenship or permanent residence, apply through the Common Application with official transcripts, test scores if submitted, proof of English proficiency, a teacher recommendation, a passport copy and documentation of financial support (Undergraduate international admission process).

Regis asks you to keep copies of everything, because the embassy or US Customs and Border Protection may ask to see the same documents.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Regis College that means we translate your records for the agency; the evaluation (WES, ECE, FIS, TruMerit or another NACES member) is ordered by you after the translation.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
