Framingham State requirements in detail
Translation
No undergraduate rule of its own; the evaluation agency sets it (Undergraduate international applicants).
Evaluation (undergraduate)
An official course-by-course evaluation of high school and any college transcripts (Undergraduate international applicants).
Approved providers
The Evaluation Company (custom Framingham State application, discounted), CED, ECE, WES, IEE, GEO Credential Services and Josef Silny & Associates (Undergraduate international applicants).
Transfer applicants
A certified evaluation by a recognized agency, made from official transcripts, with grade and credit-hour equivalents for each course (transfer guide).
Graduate
All college-level transcripts from outside the US evaluated for US equivalency and translation, course-by-course; CED, WES, IEE, GEO, Josef Silny, ECE or Scholaro (graduate international).
English
TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6, Duolingo 100 or other listed tests if your education was in another language (Undergraduate international applicants).
A course-by-course evaluation for every applicant from abroad
Framingham State asks international first-year and transfer applicants to send official transcripts or national exam scores and a course-by-course evaluation of the high school record and any college transcripts from an approved provider (international applicants).
Transfer applicants are told the evaluation must be certified, made from official transcripts and show grade and credit-hour equivalents for each course (transfer guide).
There is no separate translation rule; the translation goes to the agency.
For graduate applicants, the page calls the requirement an "official international transcript translation evaluation": all college-level transcripts must be evaluated for US equivalency and translation, course-by-course (graduate international).
Ask the agency whether it needs your own certified translation or translates internally before ordering.
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES wants a word-for-word translation from a professional translator, not the applicant. ECE accepts any complete, word-for-word translation, including your own, and sells an $85 translation waiver.
IEE accepts translations by certified translators, not by the client or a notary, and sells its own.
The Evaluation Company and, for translations made in the US, Josef Silny accept outside translations only from ATA-certified translators; eVerbary can assign one on request through a free quote, for the languages ATA certifies.

Uploading the translation to Framingham State
The translation goes to the evaluation agency with your records, not to Framingham State; the application itself is the Common App or the Framingham State University Application, with a $50 fee (Undergraduate international applicants).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Framingham State that means we translate your records for the agency; the course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from an approved provider.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
