Perimeter College of Georgia State University: Translation Requirements for Documents in Another Language
Perimeter College, admitted through Georgia State University, asks for high school records in the original language accompanied by an English translation, and evaluates them in-house; the page does not say who must make the translation. Perimeter College of Georgia State University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. Foreign college credit is different: it needs a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES member, which we do not provide.
Original + English
Records in their original language, with an English translation.
In-house for high school
No WES-type evaluation for secondary records.
Residents included
Educated abroad means processed as international.

| Does it accept eVerbary? | Yes. Georgia State's international admissions page for Perimeter asks for records in the original language "accompanied by an English translation" and does not restrict who translates (Perimeter international admissions); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. F-1 students and residents: one route
At many community colleges, a permanent resident with a foreign diploma follows a lighter path than an F-1 student. At Perimeter it is the same path. Georgia State classifies you as an international applicant if you need an F-1 visa, hold another non-immigrant visa (B-1, H-1, J-1 and others), are applying for permanent residency without the card yet, or simply were educated outside the US (source).
The page explains why: being processed by the international team lets staff review your foreign credentials, and it does not change your tuition classification or lawful presence check. In practice it means residents with foreign records send the same documents, in the original language with an English translation, through the same channels as F-1 applicants.
High school records: in-house review, strict delivery
Georgia State evaluates international secondary records itself, so you do not buy a WES or ECE report for a foreign high school diploma (FAQ). It wants the graduation certificate, at least three consecutive years of transcripts, the mark sheet with final exam results, and any national exams required for university admission at home. The page names specific credentials for some systems: the Indian CBSE and CISCE Year 10 and Year 12 results with the admit card, Ethiopia's NEAEA results, WAEC certificates (with a verification step), CXC, IB, IGCSE/GCSE and A-levels, and the French baccalaureate with its relevé de notes (source).
Delivery is the strict part. Documents must come from a verified school official, an examination board, a ministry official or EducationUSA, and anything else is unofficial unless it can be verified online through the ministry or an examination board (source). The page does not say how a translation made by an outside translator should reach admissions, so ask adminternational@gsu.edu whether to send it yourself or have your school include it.
Where the Perimeter page differs
The first-year steps on the Perimeter international page ask for high school transcripts or mark sheets "in English", while the Foreign Credit Evaluation and Document Submission sections of the same page ask for records in the original language accompanied by an English translation; the Atlanta campus first-year page uses the original-plus-translation wording. We have not resolved that for you. Sending the original and a certified translation together satisfies both readings.
Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcripts (three consecutive years) and the graduation certificate
- Mark sheets and national or regional exam results, such as WAEC, CBSE or the baccalaureate
- College or university transcripts, for the NACES course-by-course evaluation
- Bachelor's degree certificate, for postbaccalaureate admission
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Perimeter College
Apply with the Perimeter College Application for Admission. Schools, examination boards, ministries or EducationUSA email official records to adminternational@gsu.edu with your full name and Panther Number; Georgia State will not preview credentials before you apply (source).
For foreign college work, the NACES agency sends its course-by-course report to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, electronically or by mail (source).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them. For Perimeter that means we translate your school records; the NACES evaluation for foreign college credit comes from an evaluation agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions
I am a permanent resident educated abroad. Do I apply as an international student?
For admission processing, yes: Georgia State classifies applicants educated outside the US as international, regardless of citizenship or residency. It does not affect your tuition classification (source).
Do I need WES for my foreign high school diploma?
No. Georgia State evaluates international secondary records in-house and does not require a third-party evaluation for them (source).
Does the English translation have to be certified?
The page asks for "an English translation" and does not say who makes it (source). A certified translation from a professional service is the safe choice, and eVerbary provides one.
Who has to send my documents?
A verified school counselor, a national examination board, a ministry official or EducationUSA, by email to adminternational@gsu.edu (source).
Which evaluation do I need for foreign college credit?
A NACES course-by-course evaluation based on official documents, with your verified transcripts included; Georgia State names Josef Silny, WES, The Evaluation Company and ECE (source).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
