Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from PBA's public pages (sources).
Palm Beach Atlantic University asks international applicants for the official high school transcript and, for schools not accredited in the US, an official transcript evaluation; it recommends SpanTran (The Evaluation Company) and International Education Evaluations (IEE).
PBA's evaluation agencies, such as IEE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary; SpanTran asks for a translator individually certified by ATA, which eVerbary provides on request.
You order the translation first and send it to the agency; the evaluation comes from the agency, not from us.
PBA at a glance

Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
- Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
- Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
- Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

PBA requirements in detail
Translation
PBA states no translation rule of its own; foreign records reach it through the evaluation (International admissions). The agency needs the translation before evaluating a document not in English.
Who may translate
Set by the agency: IEE wants a certified translator; SpanTran (TEC) an ATA-certified one.
Evaluation
An official transcript evaluation for non-US-accredited schools, with the official high school transcript (International admissions).
Recommended agencies
SpanTran (The Evaluation Company) and International Education Evaluations (International admissions).
English
Official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score (International admissions).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
PBA recommends two agencies.
IEE wants translations from a certified translator, not from the applicant or a notary public, and generally accepts translations from a university or embassy in the home country; it also sells its own translations from $60 per page. A certified translation from eVerbary meets IEE's rule.
SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, asks that an outside translator be certified by the American Translators Association, or its own team translates once the evaluation application is complete; another TEC page speaks of an ATA member instead.
If you choose SpanTran, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA for the languages ATA certifies: ask for a free quote and say it is for The Evaluation Company and PBA.
Only for schools not accredited in the US
The evaluation applies to non-US-accredited schools; an international school accredited in the US sends its official transcript without one (International admissions).
If your school needs the evaluation, translate the high school diploma and every year of grades first, so the agency file is complete when you open it.
Need a certified translation for PBA?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcripts, every year
- High school diploma or leaving certificate
- National exam results that complete secondary school
- Bank statements, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to PBA
The translation goes to SpanTran or IEE with your records; PBA receives the official transcript and the agency's evaluation (International admissions).
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for PBA, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For PBA that means we translate your high school records for the agency; the evaluation is ordered by you from SpanTran or IEE.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does PBA need an evaluation of my high school transcript?
Yes, if your school is not accredited in the US (International admissions).
Which evaluation agencies does PBA recommend?
SpanTran (The Evaluation Company) and IEE (International admissions).
Does IEE accept an eVerbary translation?
IEE accepts translations by a certified translator (IEE); a certified translation from eVerbary is that kind of translation.
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for SpanTran?
Yes, on request through a free quote, for Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian ($34.95 per page) or Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian ($44.95 per page). ATA certifies no other languages into English.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
