Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Lynn's public pages (sources).
Lynn University requires every transcript from studies outside the US to be professionally translated, if not in English, and evaluated course-by-course through a NACES-approved agency, with a grade point average in the evaluation; the rule is the same for first-year, transfer and graduate applicants.
Lynn University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The NACES evaluation comes from the agency, and we do not provide it.

Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
- Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
- Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
- Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

Lynn requirements in detail
Translation
Transcripts for studies outside the US must be professionally translated if not in English (Catalog 2026-27: international first-year students).
Who may translate
A professional translator; the catalog does not narrow it further (Catalog 2026-27: international first-year students).
Evaluation
Course-by-course through a NACES-approved agency, including a grade point average (Catalog 2026-27: international first-year students).
Graduate
An official International Transcript Evaluation and Course Equivalency Report, under the same translation rule (Catalog 2026-27: international graduate students).
Seal or stamp
Every document must carry the seal or stamp of the issuing school (Catalog 2026-27: international first-year students).
Copies vs originals
Uncertified photocopies are accepted for the admission decision; the Admission office must receive official documents before the semester starts (Catalog 2026-27: international transfer students).
English
TOEFL, IELTS 6.0, Duolingo 105, PTE Academic 50 or Versant 60, among others (Catalog 2026-27: international transfer students).
A professional translation and a NACES evaluation with GPA
Lynn's catalog uses the same sentence for first-year, transfer and graduate applicants: transcripts for studies outside the US must be professionally translated, if they are not in English, and evaluated course-by-course through a NACES-approved agency, and the evaluation must include a grade point average (first-year; transfer; graduate).
Ask the agency for a course-by-course report with GPA; a document-by-document report does not meet the rule.
The agency usually needs the translation before it evaluates a document not in English.
WES, a NACES member, asks for an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not accept translations by applicants; an eVerbary certified translation can go to the agency and to Lynn at the same time. See translation for credential evaluation.
Photocopies for the decision, official papers before the semester
Lynn reads uncertified photocopies to make an admission decision, but the Admission office must receive official documents before the semester starts, and every document must carry the seal or stamp of the issuing school (Catalog 2026-27: international first-year students).
Translate the stamp and seal text along with the diploma and transcripts, so the translated copy matches what the official document shows.

Documents applicants usually translate

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Lynn
Send photocopies with their translations for the admission decision, then the official documents before the semester; the NACES agency sends the course-by-course evaluation (Catalog 2026-27: international first-year students).
On request we can email the translation directly to the admissions office.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Lynn that means we translate your transcripts and diplomas; the NACES course-by-course evaluation with GPA is ordered by you from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
