How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Our Lady of the Lake University asks international applicants for official or certified true copies of their secondary and university records with a certified English translation when they are not in English, and it does not say who must translate.
Our Lady of the Lake University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. OLLU also requires a credential evaluation report from an approved agency, which we do not provide.
OLLU at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
OLLU says a certified English translation must be provided for documents not in English and does not restrict who translates (admission requirements); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Worth knowing about OLLU
Translation and evaluation
OLLU does neither itself.
Three agencies
IEE, Transcript Research and WES.
June 15
Fall priority date for first-time students.
OLLU requirements in detail
Translation
Official or certified true copies of secondary and post-secondary records; if not in English, a certified English translation (International admission requirements).
Who may translate
Not stated (International admission requirements).
Evaluation
An official credential evaluation report from an OLLU-approved service; OLLU does not evaluate or translate international transcripts (Credential evaluation).
Approved agencies
International Education Evaluations, Transcript Research and World Education Services (Credential evaluation).
Student-athletes
Recruited athletes send a certified copy of the secondary transcript to InCred, which evaluates it and provides an English translation (Credential evaluation).
Priority dates
Fall: June 15 for first-time students, June 29 for transfers; spring: October 15 (International admission requirements).
A translation for OLLU, an evaluation from the agency
OLLU wants two things for each record: the certified English translation with the official or certified true copy, and an official evaluation report from one of three agencies, because it neither evaluates nor translates international transcripts itself (requirements, evaluation).
The same translation can go to the agency: WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator, and IEE wants a certified translator, not the applicant.
First-time students send their secondary school records and any university courses taken in high school; transfers with fewer than 24 transferable hours send secondary records too.
The rule for recruited athletes
If an OLLU coach is recruiting you, the rule changes: you submit a certified copy of your international secondary transcript to InCred, an NAIA-approved service that evaluates it and provides the English translation, for an additional fee (Credential evaluation).
Athletes who attended school in the US may use the other listed agencies instead.
Need a certified translation for OLLU?

- University transcripts, diploma or certificate
- Bank statement or affidavit documents, if not in English
- Passport pages, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to OLLU
Send the copies and certified translations to OLLU International Admissions in San Antonio or by email to the undergraduate international address, and order the evaluation from IEE, Transcript Research or WES (International admission requirements, Credential evaluation).
We can send the translation directly to the admissions office by email on request.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For OLLU that means we translate your records; the credential evaluation report is ordered by you from IEE, Transcript Research or WES (or InCred for recruited athletes).
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does OLLU accept an eVerbary translation?
OLLU asks for a certified English translation and does not say who must make it (International admission requirements); a certified translation from a professional service qualifies.
Do I need a credential evaluation for OLLU?
Yes, from an approved service: IEE, Transcript Research or WES (Credential evaluation).
I am a recruited athlete. What is different?
You use InCred, which evaluates your secondary transcript and provides an English translation (Credential evaluation).
When should I apply?
By June 15 for fall as a first-time student, June 29 as a transfer, and October 15 for spring (International admission requirements).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
