How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Trinity University asks international first-year applicants for official secondary school records in English and, when they are not, certified English translations submitted with the official records by a school counselor or official; it does not say who must translate.
Trinity University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. For transfer credit, Trinity wants international coursework evaluated and translated by an approved credential agency, which we are not.
Trinity at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Trinity asks for certified English translations with the official records and does not restrict who translates (guide for international applicants); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Trinity requirements in detail
Translation
Records not in English need certified English translations, submitted with the official records (Guide for international applicants).
Who may translate
Not stated (Guide for international applicants).
Who submits
A school counselor or school official; student-submitted records are not accepted (Guide for international applicants).
How
Upload through the Common App or Coalition App (preferred), email from the counselor's school address, or mail from the school (Guide for international applicants).
Evaluation
None for first-year admission. For transfer credit, international coursework must be evaluated and translated by an approved credential agency (transfer guide).
Deadlines
Early Decision I and Early Action November 1; Early Decision II and Regular Decision February 1 (Guide for international applicants).
Your counselor sends the translation with the records
Trinity counts school records as official only when a school counselor or official submits them, preferably through the Common App or Coalition App, and it wants the certified English translations to come with those official records (Guide for international applicants).
In practice you order the translation of your secondary school transcripts, then give the PDF to your counselor to upload next to the originals.
International first-year applicants follow the same decision plans and deadlines as everyone else.
Transfer credit is a different rule
For students coming from a college abroad, Trinity evaluates transfer credit after admission, and its transfer guide says international coursework must be evaluated and translated by an approved credential agency (Guide for transfer applicants).
That step belongs to the agency, not to a translation service. Course descriptions for each course you want evaluated go to the Registrar as a single document.
Need a certified translation for Trinity?

Documents applicants usually translate
- Secondary school transcripts, every year
- Secondary school diploma or leaving certificate
- National examination results
- Secondary School Report or recommendation letters, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Trinity
Give the certified translation to your school counselor or official, who submits it with the official records through the Common App or Coalition App, by school email or by mail (Guide for international applicants).
We can send the translation directly to the admissions office by email on request.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Trinity that means we translate your secondary school records; the agency evaluation and translation of college coursework for transfer credit is ordered by you from an approved agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Trinity accept an eVerbary translation?
Trinity asks for certified English translations with the official records and does not say who must translate (Guide for international applicants); a certified translation from a professional service qualifies.
Can I upload my own records and translation?
No: records must come from a school counselor or official; student-submitted records are not accepted (Guide for international applicants).
Do I need a credential evaluation for first-year admission?
The international guide asks for none; only international coursework for transfer credit goes through an approved agency (Guide for transfer applicants).
Can I skip the English test?
Waivers exist, for example when English was the language of instruction for your final four consecutive years of secondary school (Guide for international applicants).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
