Marshalltown Community College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. MCC publishes no credential evaluation requirement for admission.
MCC at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
MCC's international admission steps ask for high school transcripts that are officially translated and college transcripts that are translated, without restricting who translates (international students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 28, 2026.

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

An official high school transcript or equivalent, officially translated if not in English (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
Translation (college)
Transcripts in any language other than English must be translated (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
Who may translate
Evaluation
None published for admission (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
Delivery
College transcripts are sent directly from each previous college to the Admissions Office of your IVCCD campus; MCC accepts scanned documents at mccinternational@iavalley.edu (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
Financial proof
MCC's Financial Statement Form, available in English and Spanish, plus an official statement from your bank on bank stationery (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
Timing
No action is taken until all items have been received; MCC asks for everything in one sending (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
Marshalltown and Ellsworth: one district, one checklist
MCC and Ellsworth Community College share the Iowa Valley Community College District international application.
The district page lists the same steps for both: the international application, a high school transcript, previous college transcripts, English proficiency, placement scores if you have them, a health certificate with MMR proof, the financial statement and health insurance.
Ellsworth also asks for a passport photo and a transfer form for students moving from another US college.
For high school records the wording is "officially translated"; for college records, simply "translated". A certified translation with a signed statement of accuracy covers both.
If you finished high school abroad and then studied at a university, translate both sets, and ask the university to send its transcript directly to the Admissions Office of the campus you chose.
Sending everything once
MCC asks applicants to send all required materials together, and takes no action until every item has arrived.
Scanned documents for Marshalltown go to mccinternational@iavalley.edu (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
Order the translations before you assemble the packet so the transcript and its translation travel together.
The international checklist and the financial statement form come in English and Spanish, but your own records still need an English translation.
If your English test score is below the minimum, you may take a placement exam on arrival; ACT, SAT or ACCUPLACER scores from the last five years are used for course placement, not admission (Iowa Valley Community College District: international students).
