How we know · policy checked on October 21, 2026

The New Jersey Board of Pharmacy requires graduates of foreign pharmacy schools to hold FPGEC certification before they can even register as interns, then complete 1,440 internship hours in New Jersey and pass the NAPLEX and MPJE; it publishes no translation rule of its own.

Documents in another language are translated for the FPGEC, which accepts official translations from professional translation services such as eVerbary, but not your own.

We translate your pharmacy records and license; the FPGEC certificate and the Board application are yours to obtain and file.

New Jersey Board of Pharmacy at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

New Jersey requires valid FPGEC certification of graduates of foreign pharmacy schools (Board FAQ), and the FPGEC accepts an official translation from "a professional translation service in any country" (FPGEC Bulletin), so a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets the rule that applies. New Jersey Board of Pharmacy requirements in detail

Translation

No Board translation rule; documents in another language are translated for the FPGEC under its rule (Board of Pharmacy FAQ, FPGEC).

Who may translate

Set by the FPGEC: an official translator or a professional translation service in any country, never the applicant; each page signed and dated (FPGEC Bulletin: documentation requirements (NABP)).

Degree

A Bachelor of Science in pharmacy of at least five years, or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Board of Pharmacy FAQ).

Evaluation

Valid FPGEC certification from NABP; inside that process ECE evaluates your pharmacy education (Board of Pharmacy FAQ, ECE).

Internship

1,440 hours in a permitted New Jersey pharmacy, 15 to 45 hours a week, completed in 34 to 104 weeks, after the Board issues an intern registration number (Board of Pharmacy FAQ).

Exams and checks

NAPLEX and MPJE for New Jersey after the pharmacist application, plus a criminal history background check (Board of Pharmacy FAQ).

Checklist

The pharmacist and intern checklists include a birth certificate and the transcript or FPGEC certificate (Board of Pharmacy phases and timelines).

The order New Jersey enforces

New Jersey is strict about sequence: FPGEC certificate first, then the intern application, then 1,440 internship hours, and only then the pharmacist application and the authorization to test (Board of Pharmacy FAQ).

A delay at the FPGEC stage therefore delays everything after it, which makes the translations the first thing to settle.

The FPGEC rule is detailed: an official word-for-word translation, seals and stamps included, with the translator's original signature and date on every page, on official stationery, with proof of the translator's credentials; self-translations are refused (FPGEC Bulletin: documentation requirements (NABP)).

Order through a free quote and say it is for the FPGEC, so we confirm the format before you pay.

Documents the Board itself collects

The Board's checklists include a birth certificate (Board of Pharmacy phases and timelines), and missing documents are uploaded as PDFs to your MyLicense account rather than mailed (Board of Pharmacy FAQ).

The Board publishes no rule for a birth certificate in another language; a certified translation uploaded with the original is the usual approach, and staff at NJbopOffice@dca.njoag.gov can confirm.

Documents applicants usually translate

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades, hours and credits exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA or equivalency.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload or print.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
  • Notarization added at checkout ($34.90 per order) when the office asks for a notarized translation.

Submitting the translation to New Jersey Board of Pharmacy

  • FPGEC translations follow NABP's and ECE's instructions: pharmacy transcripts and degree to ECE, license or registration to NABP (FPGEC, ECE).

  • Documents for the Board itself are uploaded as PDFs to your MyLicense account; do not mail them unless staff ask (Board of Pharmacy FAQ).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service or a licensing agency: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, we cannot send documents on behalf of the school or authority that issued them, and we do not file the license application.

For New Jersey that means we translate your records for the FPGEC and the Board; we do not obtain the FPGEC certificate or file the intern and pharmacist applications.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and submit it with the copy of the original wherever the office asks for it.
