How we know · policy checked on October 21, 2026
The FPGEC, which NABP runs for foreign-educated pharmacists, requires an official word-for-word English translation of any document not in English, seals and stamps included, and its Bulletin lets that translation come from a professional translation service in any country; you may not translate your own documents.
The FPGEC accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Each translated page must carry the translator's original signature and date and arrive with an attestation and proof of the translator's credentials, so order it for FPGEC specifically; we do not apply for certification, order your ECE report or obtain sealed records from your school or licensing body.
FPGEC at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
The FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin defines an official translator and adds that you may also use "a professional translation service in any country or jurisdiction" (Bulletin, Documentation Requirements), so a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets it, provided it follows the page-by-page format the Bulletin sets. Worth knowing about FPGEC
Any country
A professional translation service anywhere qualifies; you may not translate.
Signed on every page
Original signature and date per page; photocopies are refused.
Two destinations
School records go to ECE; license papers go to NABP.
FPGEC requirements in detail
Translation
Required for any document not in English, including every seal and stamp: an official, word-for-word English translation certified as correct (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements, NABP help center).
Who may translate
An official translator: a certified translator, certified court interpreter, authorized government official or an official of your pharmacy school, or a professional translation service in any country, or a university language department.
Not you (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements).
Format
The translator must be identifiable by name; every page carries an original signature and date and appears on official stationery; photocopies of translations are not accepted (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements).
Attestation and credentials
The translator attests to the accuracy of each translation, and proof of the translator's credentials must accompany each one (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements).
Education records
Pharmacy transcripts and proof of degree go to ECE for a General Evaluation Report, with an extra copy sent to the FPGEC; ECE applies the same translation rule and does not offer its Translation Waiver for NABP orders (Bulletin, ECE step, ECE NABP requirements).
License or registration
Certified by the issuing agency and sealed in its envelope, sent to the FPGEC by you or the agency, with an official word-for-word translation if not in English (FPGEC Bulletin: Submit Documentation (license and registration)).
How documents arrive
By mail; the FPGEC does not accept electronically submitted documents and does not return originals (FPGEC Bulletin: Attestation and photo identification).
Photocopies, such as your ID, must be notarized with a set statement on each page (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements).
Which translation goes where
FPGEC certification splits your paperwork in two (NABP program page, NABP help center).
Your pharmacy school transcripts and proof of degree go to Educational Credential Evaluators with the ECE application for a General Evaluation Report; ECE sends the report, and a copy, to NABP (FPGEC Bulletin: Submit Application to ECE).
Your license or registration, the attestation form, photos, a notarized copy of your photo ID and the English test score go to NABP itself (FPGEC Bulletin: Submit Documentation (license and registration)).
ECE's NABP page adds that licensure documents should not be sent to ECE at all (ECE: NABP documentation requirements).
A translation travels with the document it belongs to.
If your school issues records in a sealed envelope, ECE suggests requesting two sealed sets, one to open for the translation and one to send unopened, or asking the school to put the official translation in the same envelope; the translation itself does not need a sealed envelope (ECE: NABP documentation requirements).
The page-by-page format, and why a PDF alone is not enough
The Bulletin's rule is stricter than most.
Each page needs the translator's original signature and a date, on official stationery; photocopies are refused; and each translation carries an accuracy attestation and proof of the translator's credentials (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements).
Since the FPGEC also refuses electronically submitted documents (FPGEC Bulletin: Attestation and photo identification), a printed copy of a PDF does not meet the rule on its own.
For that reason, order an FPGEC translation through a free quote rather than the standard checkout: write in the notes that it is for the FPGEC (or for ECE's NABP report), that every page needs an original signature and date, and that proof of the translator's credentials must go with it. We confirm what we can provide, and the price, before you pay.
Names, seals and stamps
The name on your FPGEC application must match your transcripts, license, English test report and ID; patronymic names go in the middle-name field, and a name change needs a certified marriage license or court order (FPGEC Bulletin: Name change guidelines).
Spell your name in the order notes exactly as it appears in your passport so the translation uses the same form.
The rule covers "all seals and/or stamps" (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements), and ECE notes that even documents issued in English must have foreign-language seals or stamps translated (ECE: NABP documentation requirements). We translate every stamp, seal and handwritten note on each page.
Need a certified translation for FPGEC?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- Pharmacy school transcripts, all years, including pre-pharmacy and post-baccalaureate work
- Pharmacy degree certificate or diploma, with the title and date of issue
- Pharmacist license or registration certificate from the issuing agency
- Marriage certificate or court order showing a name change
- Government photo ID, when it is not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades, hours and credits exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA or equivalency.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload or print.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
- Notarization added at checkout ($34.90 per order) when the office asks for a notarized translation.
Submitting the translation to FPGEC
Education translations go to ECE with your sealed records and the ECE application, and ECE reports to NABP (FPGEC Bulletin: Submit Application to ECE).
Translations of license documents, ID and name-change papers are mailed to NABP; include your e-Profile ID on mailed items and allow extra time for international mail (FPGEC Bulletin: Attestation and photo identification, FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements).
eVerbary can mail the translations to you in sealed, signed envelopes: choose the hard copy at checkout with your address ($19.95 Priority or $37.95 Express in the US, $49.95 or $78.95 to other countries) and write in the order notes that they are for the FPGEC, so you can send them with your documents.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service or a licensing agency: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, we cannot send documents on behalf of the school or authority that issued them, and we do not file the license application.
For the FPGEC that means we translate your pharmacy records, license and supporting documents; the FPGEC application, the ECE General Evaluation Report and the sealed records from your school or licensing agency are yours to arrange.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and submit it with the copy of the original wherever the office asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I translate my own pharmacy documents for FPGEC?
No. The Bulletin says you may not provide your own translations, and ECE's NABP page repeats it (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements, ECE).
Does the translator have to be in my home country?
No. The Bulletin accepts a professional translation service in any country or jurisdiction (FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements). A certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary qualifies.
Can I upload the translation or email a PDF?
No. The FPGEC does not accept electronically submitted documents, and photocopies of translations are refused; each page needs an original signature and date (FPGEC Bulletin: Attestation and photo identification, FPGEC Candidate Application Bulletin: Documentation Requirements).
Can ECE translate my documents for the NABP report?
No. ECE's Translation Waiver is not available for NABP orders (ECE: NABP documentation requirements).
My transcript is in English but the stamp is not. Do I need a translation?
Yes, for the stamp or seal. ECE's NABP page says foreign-language seals or stamps must be translated even on English documents (ECE: NABP documentation requirements).
