The family booklet, and the registry extract
A Turkish marriage produces the evlenme cüzdanı — the family booklet, issued to the couple at the marriage and recording the marriage and later the children. The marriage is also recorded in the national population registry, and the nüfus kayıt örneği extract shows marital status.

Which copy can be apostilled
The registry extract can be pulled instantly from e-Devlet as a PDF — and a district governorship will not apostille that version. Only a wet-signed, stamped extract from a population directorate (nüfus müdürlüğü) can be apostilled. If your packet needs an apostille, get the stamped one before ordering a translation of the PDF.
