The family booklet, and the registry extract
A Turkish marriage produces the evlenme cüzdanı — the family booklet, issued to the couple at the marriage and recording the marriage and later the children. The marriage is also recorded in the national population registry, and the nüfus kayıt örneği extract shows marital status.

Which copy can be apostilled
The registry extract can be pulled instantly from e-Devlet as a PDF — and a district governorship will not apostille that version. Only a wet-signed, stamped extract from a nüfus müdürlüğü can be apostilled. If your packet needs an apostille, get the stamped one before ordering a translation of the PDF.
Turkish uses ç, ğ, ı, İ, ö, ş and ü, and the dotted and dotless i are different letters. We reproduce names as written and note genuine differences between records. See our Turkish page.
What USCIS requires
Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.
