The ID card that replaced the internal passport

Kyrgyzstan's identity document is the ID card, issued with a chip since 1 May 2017 and often called the ID passport, because it took the place of the internal passport. A new 2025-model card has been issued since November 2025, and earlier cards stay valid until they expire, so both appear in files.

Like other Kyrgyz documents the card labels its fields in Kyrgyz and Russian. We translate every field on both sides, including the issuing authority, the dates and the card number. See our Kyrgyz page.

The PIN, and the digital card

Every card carries the 14-digit PIN. The first digit gives sex (1 female, 2 male) and the next eight the date of birth as day, month and year. A PIN is changed only in exceptional cases, such as a wrong sex or date of birth on record, so a mismatch with another document is worth raising before you file.

The card also exists in the Tunduk app, and rules adopted in September 2026 give the digital card the same force as the plastic one inside Kyrgyzstan. For a US translation send a clear scan of both sides of the physical card. See our Kyrgyz passport page.

What USCIS requires

Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.

State agencies set their own rules — see government agencies — and what our certification states is on this page.

How it works

Upload a photo or a scan of your document, pick the language pair and check out online. You never have to mail originals: a legible copy is all we need.

A professional human translator, never machine translation, translates the document word for word and mirrors the layout of the original. Every certified translation ships with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy that meets the requirements of USCIS, courts and universities.

Your translation is delivered digitally, usually within 24 hours for documents of one to three pages, and same-day delivery is available. If anything needs adjusting, we revise it.

Certified vs. standard translation

A certified translation is a word-for-word translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is what official bodies require: USCIS, courts, universities and government agencies. Certified translations are $24.95 per page, where one sheet of your document is one page, with no word cap.

A standard translation is the same professional human translation without the certificate, for when you only need to understand the content or for internal or informal use. It is billed at the same $24.95 per page with no word cap.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need both sides?

Yes. The back carries information that is part of the document, and a translation of one side is incomplete.

What does the PIN tell an officer?

The holder's sex and date of birth. An officer comparing documents uses it to tie them to one person, so we copy it digit by digit.

My card is the older 2017 model.

It remains valid until its expiry date. We translate either model.

Ready to get started?
