The carnet de salud infantil
Bolivian childhood immunisation is recorded in a carnet de salud infantil stamped at the health establishment that gave each dose, under the national immunisation programme.

Bolivian medical documents carry the cédula de identidad number, frequently followed by a departmental suffix — LP, CB, SC — which is part of the identifier and not an abbreviation to be dropped.

Altitude, and the indigenous languages
Bolivian clinical records from La Paz, El Alto and Potosí are written for a population living at very high altitude, so reference ranges for haemoglobin and haematocrit are set higher than US ones.
