Undergraduates add school-issued course descriptions for study abroad, and the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies programs require an evaluation from WES or ECE, which we do not provide.
UW-La Crosse at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
UWL's international admission pages say documents in a language other than English must include a certified English translation, without restricting who makes it (undergraduate international, graduate international); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Translation
Documents issued in a language other than English must include a certified English translation (International undergraduate admission).
Who may translate
Not stated (International undergraduate admission).
Academic records
Official, certified or attested transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary institutions (International undergraduate admission).
Transfer credit
School-issued course descriptions for all post-secondary study outside the US (International undergraduate admission).
Evaluation
Not asked for in general; Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies require a credit evaluation through WES or ECE (International graduate admission).
Where to send
All supporting documents by email to UWL International Admissions (International undergraduate admission).
Priority deadlines (undergraduate)
July 15 for fall, December 15 for spring; decisions mailed by USPS about 1–2 weeks after the file is complete (International undergraduate admission).
The same certified-translation rule at both levels
UWL's undergraduate and graduate international pages use identical wording: official, certified or attested transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary institutions, and documents issued in a language other than English must include a certified English translation (undergraduate, graduate).
Graduate applicants therefore send their secondary school records too. Everything goes by email to UWL International Admissions, and you track receipt in WINGS.
For transfer credit, undergraduates submit school-issued course descriptions for all post-secondary education taken outside the US (International undergraduate admission). They come from your school; if they are not in English, the certified-translation rule applies to them as well.
Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies
These three graduate programs require a credit evaluation through WES or ECE, and ECE offers a 10% discount through its UW-La Crosse Select Application (graduate international).
Both agencies need a translation of documents not in English: WES accepts only a professional translator's work, not your own; ECE accepts any word-for-word translation in the same format.
A certified translation can go to UWL and to the agency. Health programs also ask for higher English scores, such as IELTS 7.5.

- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to UW-La Crosse
Email the transcripts and their certified translations, with the affidavit of support, bank statement and passport copy, to UWL International Admissions after submitting the Universities of Wisconsin application (International undergraduate admission).
For PT, OT or PA, send the translation to WES or ECE with your records; the agency sends the evaluation (International graduate admission).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For UW-La Crosse that means we translate your records and course descriptions; the WES or ECE evaluation for PT, OT and PA comes from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
