Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Morrisville's public pages (sources).
SUNY Morrisville requires all academic records to be in English, translated by a certified English translator if necessary, and has every secondary or post-secondary record from outside the US evaluated by a credential evaluation service such as WES.
SUNY Morrisville accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The translation comes first; the WES evaluation is ordered by you and is not something we produce.

Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
- Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
- Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
- Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

Morrisville requirements in detail
Translation
All academic records in English, translated by a certified English translator if necessary (International admissions).
Who may translate
A certified English translator (International admissions).
Evaluation
A credential evaluation service such as WES must evaluate any secondary or post-secondary records from schools outside the US (International admissions).
Records
Official secondary school records showing the equivalent of a US high school diploma, and official college transcripts (International admissions).
Deadlines
Direct entry: December 1 for spring, July 1 for fall (International admissions).
English
TOEFL iBT 61, TOEFL PBT 500, IELTS 6.0 or PTE 44 (International admissions).
After acceptance
$200 enrollment deposit, the FSA4 financial statement and bank records for one year; current F-1 students add a visa copy and the I-20 transfer form (International admissions).
A certified translation, then a WES evaluation
Morrisville asks for two things for records from abroad. First, every academic record must be in English, translated by a certified English translator if it is not (international admissions).
Second, a credential evaluation service such as World Education Services must evaluate any secondary or post-secondary record from a school outside the US.
The order matters: the evaluator needs the translation before it can evaluate a document that is not in English.
WES itself wants a precise, word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not accept translations made by applicants, so the same certified eVerbary translation serves Morrisville and WES. Upload it in your WES account with the records and have the evaluation sent to Morrisville.
Direct entry or the International Pathway Program
Direct-entry applicants use the SUNY Application or the Common Application with the supplemental essay and must show the equivalent of a US high school diploma (International admissions).
The International Pathway Program instead lets students complete year one of an undergraduate degree at Morrisville and then continue there or transfer to another SUNY campus, with lower English minimums such as TOEFL iBT 60, IELTS 5.5 or Duolingo 90. Both routes start from the same records.

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Morrisville
Send the certified translations with your records to Morrisville and to the evaluation service; WES delivers the evaluation report (International admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Morrisville that means we translate your records; the WES or other evaluation is ordered by you after the translation.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions

What are the application deadlines?
December 1 for spring and July 1 for fall direct entry (International admissions).
