Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia, Georgia, asks international applicants for official transcripts from high school and every college, evaluated by Josef Silny & Associates or World Education Services: document-by-document for high school, course-by-course for college.
Southeastern Tech's evaluation agencies, such as WES, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary; Josef Silny asks for a translator individually certified by ATA, which eVerbary provides on request. The evaluation comes from the agency, not from us.

Sample translation: a Mexican high school certificate
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Spanish sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- CCT, CURP and the state abbreviation Jal. are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, so an evaluator does not have to look up a Mexican acronym.
- Courtesy and degree titles (C., Mtra., Lic.) are kept as printed and explained once; names keep both surnames in place.
- Grades stay on the 5-to-10 scale the certificate prints, with its minimum passing grade. Converting them is the evaluator's job.
- The six semesters keep the certificate's two columns, and the seal, signatures and QR code are described in brackets where they appear.

Southeastern Tech requirements in detail
Translation
STC states no translation rule of its own; foreign transcripts reach it through the evaluation (International students). The agency needs the translation before evaluating a document not in English.
Who may translate
Set by the agency: WES wants a professional translator; Josef Silny an ATA-certified one in the US.
Evaluation
High school transcripts from outside the US: document-by-document; college transcripts: course-by-course (International students).
Agencies
Josef Silny & Associates or World Education Services (International students).
Tests
A placement test taken within 60 months, and TOEFL (61 internet-based) if English is not your native language (International students).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES asks for an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency; it does not accept translations by applicants and does not translate documents itself. A certified translation from eVerbary meets that rule.
Josef Silny & Associates accepts outside translations made in the US only from ATA-certified translators, and has its own translation department.
If you choose Josef Silny, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA for the languages ATA certifies: ask for a free quote and say it is for Josef Silny and Southeastern Tech.
Which report to order
For a high school diploma and transcripts from outside the US, order a document-by-document evaluation; for college or university transcripts, a course-by-course one.
The Designated School Official in the Admissions Office has more information on the process, and STC issues the I-20 once you are accepted (International students).

Uploading the translation to Southeastern Tech
The translation goes to Josef Silny or WES with your records; the agency's evaluation and your official transcripts go to STC Admissions (International students).
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Southeastern Tech, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Southeastern Tech that means we translate your records for the agency; the Josef Silny or WES evaluation is ordered by you.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
