What to notice

• Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
• The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
• Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
• The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

SABER requirements in detail

Josef Silny is the only evaluator SABER names

SABER's 2026-2027 catalog says foreign students must have their degrees evaluated by Josef Silny, and adds, for nursing applicants, that general education credit from another country needs an evaluation from Josef Silny & Associates that spells out the academic content of each course.

SABER waives a general education course only when the content matches its own. The faculty list in the same catalog shows several instructors' foreign degrees evaluated by Josef Silny.

Josef Silny asks for accurate, professional, certified English translations. Translations made in the US must be by ATA-certified translators; those made abroad, by accredited or officially certified professional translators.

It also translates in-house, with certification and notarization included, priced by quote (Josef Silny services), and its FAQ says most translations by professional translators are acceptable (Josef Silny FAQ).

What to translate for a general education waiver

Because the waiver depends on course content, Josef Silny needs more than your transcript: course descriptions or syllabi let it specify what each course covered (nursing admissions).

Translate the transcript, the degree certificate and the descriptions of the courses you want waived together. For admission itself, SABER accepts a high school diploma or its equivalent from your country of origin, or a GED.

If you need a translator certified by ATA

Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
