Massasoit Community College asks international applicants for a notarized translation of all non-English transcripts, in English, for admission, and does not say who must translate.

Massasoit Community College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary; add notarization at checkout for $34.90 per order.

All academic documents must also be evaluated by a certified evaluation company such as CED, IERF or WES, and that evaluation is something we do not provide.

Massasoit requirements in detail

Translation (admission)

A notarized translation of all non-English transcripts, in English (International students FAQs).

Who may translate

Evaluation

Required: an official evaluation of the high school transcript or diploma; all academic documents must be evaluated by a certified evaluation company (international students).

Agencies named

Atlas Credential Evaluations, CED, Education Evaluators International, IERF, North American Educational Group, The Evaluation Company and WES (International students).

Transfer credit

Transcripts in another language need an official translation into English; credit is possible only with an official college transcript and an evaluated document (transfer credit, International students).

Financial

A notarized bank letter on letterhead, signed by the bank, and a notarized Certificate of Financial Support (International students).

Notarized translation and a certified evaluation

Massasoit asks for two things for foreign school records.

The FAQ says official transcripts and the high school diploma or leaving certificate are needed, and a notarized translation of all non-English transcripts must be submitted in English for admission (international FAQ).

The international admissions page adds an official evaluation of the secondary transcript or diploma, and says all academic documents must be evaluated by a certified evaluation company (international students).

Massasoit lists seven companies for evaluations and translations, including Atlas Credential Evaluations with a discount code, CED, IERF, The Evaluation Company and WES.

Each sets its own rule for the translation you send it; some accept a professional translation, and The Evaluation Company accepts outside translations only from ATA-certified translators, which eVerbary can provide on request through a free quote.

Transfer credit: an official translation and an evaluated document

The Registrar's rule for transfer credit is that transcripts in any language other than English must be accompanied by supporting official translation into English, and more information may be requested (transfer credit).

The international page adds that college transfer credit will potentially be awarded only with an official college transcript and an evaluated document (International students).

One notarized certified translation can serve admission, the agency and the Registrar.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcripts and diploma or leaving certificate
  • College or university transcripts and diplomas
  • Bank letter, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Massasoit

  • Submit the notarized translations with your official transcripts as part of the international application; the evaluation agency sends its report to Massasoit (International students).

  • eVerbary delivers a signed PDF and, when notarization is added, the notarized copy; we can also email the translation directly to the admissions office on request.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Massasoit that means we translate and notarize your transcripts and diploma; the evaluation by a certified evaluation company is ordered by you.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
