English

Duolingo 130, TOEFL 100, IELTS 7.5, or Cambridge C1 190 / C2 200; self-reported until you enroll (International applicants).

Financial aid

Limited and need-aware for international first-years; none for international transfer students, and none in later years if not requested at entry (International applicants).

What Harvey Mudd asks international applicants to add

International applicants to Harvey Mudd follow the same first-year and transfer procedures as domestic students and add a short list of items.

The first is required: translated credentials, meaning English translations of any credentials not in English.

The second is recommended: a profile of your secondary school with the structure of its course system, the required number of classes, hours per course, number of lab science courses, the grading scale, the rigor of the program and the school's reputation (International applicants).

If your school publishes its profile or grading legend in another language, translate it with the transcript; a certified translation keeps every grade and the scale exactly as written. For the school record, see high school diploma translation.

Aid and the international applicant

Harvey Mudd offers financial aid to a small number of admitted international applicants, and applying for aid may affect your chances of admission.

Students who enter without aid cannot apply for it in later years, and the college offers no funding to international transfer students, who may apply only if they are not seeking aid (International applicants).

HMC may decide on an application before every piece arrives, so send translations with the rest of your file.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
