How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
El Camino College's International Student Program asks for college and secondary transcripts translated into English, sent with the rest of the application as attachments in one email; unofficial transcripts are enough for the application and course placement, and it does not say who must translate.
El Camino College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Transcripts from outside the US used for credit, high school included, must also be evaluated by a NACES-accredited service, which we do not provide.
El Camino at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
El Camino's ISP asks for transcripts of college and secondary grades "translated into English" and does not restrict who translates (ISP admission); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets it. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

El Camino requirements in detail
Translation
Transcripts of college and secondary grades translated into English (International Student Program: admission and applications).
Who may translate
Not stated.
For the application
Unofficial transcripts are accepted to place you into courses (International Student Program: admission and applications).
Where to send
All documents, with the application form and photo, as attachments in one email to the ISP office; $50 fee (International Student Program: admission and applications).
Deadlines
Spring 2027: December 15, 2026 from overseas; January 15, 2027 for transfers in the US (International Student Program: admission and applications).
Credit from abroad
College and high school transcripts from outside the US must be evaluated by a service accredited by NACES and sent directly by the service to Admissions; email delivery from the service is accepted (Admissions: transcripts and records).
An application sent by email
El Camino's International Student Program handles applications by email: you gather the application form (with a recent photo), proof of funding, proof of English proficiency, transcripts and a passport copy, and send them as attachments in one email; transfer students add their current I-20 and F-1 visa.
The page asks for transcripts of college and secondary grades translated into English and explains that, for the ISP application, unofficial transcripts are enough to place you into courses.
Attach the translation next to the scan of each original, so each record arrives complete in the same email.
The ISP notes that, because of visa processing at the US Embassy in Yangon, it cannot currently support applications from Myanmar from abroad; Myanmar students already in the US on an F-1 visa may apply as transfers.
Credit for records from outside the US
For credit, the application file is not enough.
The Admissions transcripts page says all transcripts from colleges or high schools outside the US must be evaluated by an international transcript evaluation service accredited by NACES, and that the evaluated transcripts must be sent directly from the service to the Admissions Office, by email if the service offers it.
Including high school records is less common; it matters for students who need the high school level recognized. The agency sets its own translation rule; see translation for credential evaluation.

- Secondary school transcripts and diploma
- College or university transcripts
- Bank statement for the proof of funding
- Degree certificates, for credit evaluation
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to El Camino
Attach the translation with the copy of each original to the single application email the ISP asks for (International Student Program: admission and applications). We deliver the certified translation as a PDF you can attach, and we can send it directly to the admissions office by email on request.
For credit, the translation goes to the NACES agency, which sends the evaluation directly to El Camino's Admissions Office (Admissions: transcripts and records).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For El Camino that means we translate your secondary and college records; the NACES evaluation for credit comes from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Who can translate my transcripts for El Camino College?
The ISP asks for transcripts translated into English and does not say who must translate (International Student Program: admission and applications). A certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary qualifies.
Can I send unofficial transcripts?
Yes, for the ISP application and course placement (International Student Program: admission and applications).
How do I submit my documents?
In one email with attachments to the ISP office (International Student Program: admission and applications).
Does my high school transcript need an evaluation?
If you submit it to Admissions for credit or records, yes: transcripts from colleges or high schools outside the US must be evaluated by a NACES service (Admissions: transcripts and records).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
