How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
College of the Siskiyous asks F-1 applicants for official transcripts of all secondary schools and colleges and says official documents must be translated to English, with currency reported in US dollars; it does not say who must translate.
College of the Siskiyous accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Credit for college work outside the US needs a course-by-course evaluation from IERF, the only agency COS accepts, which we do not produce.
COS at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
COS's international requirements say official documents "must be translated to English" and name no translator (international requirements); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation, and IERF, the evaluator COS requires for credit, accepts professional translations (IERF). Translations for admission at COS
COS asks you to verify high school completion with official transcripts of every secondary school and college you attended, or with a diploma or a letter from your school certifying that you will complete.
Its requirements page adds that official documents must be translated to English and currency reported in US dollars, which applies to the bank letter as much as to the transcripts. For the school record, see high school diploma translation.
The bank letter or statement must be official, in English, issued within three months of the application deadline and show at least $20,621 for one year, more for each dependent (International students: deadlines and checklist).
A translation keeps the amounts as printed; if the bank shows only local currency, ask it to state the US dollar amount too.
Credit from abroad goes through IERF only
Most colleges accept any NACES member.
College of the Siskiyous accepts only evaluations from the International Education Research Foundation, and the report must be course by course, with semester unit equivalencies, upper and lower division and the letter grades.
To use foreign courses for degree requirements you must also supply course descriptions.
The international page tells applicants to send post-secondary transcripts to IERF and that transcripts submitted must be translated to English (International students: deadlines and checklist).
IERF asks for typed, line-by-line, word-for-word translations in the same format as the original and reserves the right to require a professional translation, so a certified translation avoids that request.
Results come to your student email about 2–4 weeks after COS has everything (Evaluation of transcripts (Admissions and Records)).

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to COS
Upload or send the translations with the originals through the application COS sends you after you email international@siskiyous.edu (International students: deadlines and checklist).
For credit, send the translation with your transcripts to IERF; after COS receives the report, submit a Transcript Evaluation Request to registration@siskiyous.edu (Evaluation of transcripts (Admissions and Records)).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For College of the Siskiyous that means we translate your records, course descriptions and bank letter; the IERF evaluation is ordered by you.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Do my documents need to be translated for College of the Siskiyous?
Yes. Official documents must be translated to English, with currency in US dollars (International student requirements).
Can a translation company translate them?
COS does not say who translates (International student requirements). A certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets the rule.
Which evaluation agency does COS accept?
Only IERF, with a course-by-course report (Evaluation of transcripts (Admissions and Records)).
Can I start in spring?
Only if you are an F-1 student already attending a US college or university; the spring deadline is October 15 (International students: deadlines and checklist).
Does my bank letter have to be in English?
Yes, official and in English, issued within three months of the deadline (International students: deadlines and checklist).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
