Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Brenau's public pages (sources).
Brenau University asks international freshman applicants for official high school transcripts translated into English, and anyone with college coursework outside the US for an official course-by-course evaluation from a NACES member; transfers with 30 or more hours send evaluations from every college attended.
It does not say who must translate; Brenau University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The NACES evaluation comes from the agency, and we do not provide it.
Brenau at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Brenau asks freshman applicants for "official secondary (high school) transcripts translated in English", without restricting who translates (international admissions); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
- Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
- Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
- Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

Brenau requirements in detail

Official secondary (high school) transcripts translated in English, for freshman applicants (International admissions).
Who may translate
Not stated (International admissions).
Freshman or transfer
Under a full academic year of college (45 quarter or 30 semester hours) you apply as a freshman (International admissions).
Evaluation
Any college coursework outside the US: an official course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-accredited organization (International admissions).
Agencies linked
Any NACES service, including The Evaluation Company (formerly SpanTran) and International Education Evaluations (International admissions).
Transfers (30+ hours)
Official evaluations from all colleges attended, by a professional service, at your cost (International admissions).
Freshmen translate; anyone with college abroad also evaluates
Brenau draws the line at a full academic year of college. With fewer than 30 semester or 45 quarter hours you apply as a freshman and submit official high school transcripts translated in English.
If you took any college-level coursework outside the US, you also need an official course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-accredited organization (international admissions).
Transfer applicants with 30 or more hours send official evaluations from every college or university attended; Brenau says evaluations of transcripts from other countries must be completed by a professional service and that you pay the cost (International admissions).
What the linked agencies ask for the translation
IEE wants translations from a certified translator, not from the applicant or a notary; a certified translation from eVerbary meets that rule.
The Evaluation Company asks that an outside translator be certified by ATA, or translates in-house; for TEC, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA on request through a free quote.

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.

Uploading the translation to Brenau
Send the official high school transcripts with their English translation to the Office of Admissions; for college work, the NACES agency sends its course-by-course evaluation (International admissions).
On request we can email the translation directly to the admissions office.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Brenau that means we translate your transcripts and diplomas; the NACES course-by-course evaluation is ordered and paid by you.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
