How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

Alliant International University evaluates foreign transcripts, mark sheets and graduation certificates in-house at no charge, from scanned color copies, and says all foreign documentation not issued in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation; it does not say who must translate.

Alliant International University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. A NACES evaluation is optional at your own cost, and we do not produce it.

Alliant at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Alliant's international admissions page says all foreign documentation not issued in English "must be accompanied by a certified English translation" and names no translator (international admissions); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Evaluation

In-house by trained Alliant staff, free; or, at your cost, a NACES member that sends an official copy to Alliant's Application Processing Center (International admissions).

Copies or originals

Scanned color images of official or true copies for the admission decision; official documents presented after acceptance to admissions or International Student Services (International admissions).

Timing (from abroad)

All materials at least six weeks before the start, a valid I-20 at least 30 days before, the visa at least two weeks before (International admissions).

Timing (US transfers)

Application complete at least two weeks before the start (International admissions).

An in-house evaluation built on your translation

Alliant offers what most universities do not: an in-house transcript evaluation at no charge.

Its trained staff read scanned color images of your official or true-copy transcripts, mark sheets and graduation award certificates and set their US equivalency for the admission decision.

Because Alliant does the evaluation itself, the certified English translation it requires for every document not issued in English is what its evaluators work from, so translate every page, including the grading scale and any stamps or notes on the back.

You may instead pay a NACES member to evaluate your records and send an official copy to Alliant's Application Processing Center.

That agency then sets its own translation rule; WES, for example, accepts translations by professional services and not by applicants. For school records, see high school diploma translation.

Deadlines that run backwards from your start date

Applicants living abroad must complete the application and submit all required materials at least six weeks before the start of the term, hold a valid I-20 or DS-2019 at least 30 days before, have the visa approved at least two weeks before and arrive no more than 30 days before classes.

Applicants already in the US transfer with a complete application at least two weeks before the start.

After acceptance, you present the official documents to the admissions office or International Student Services for verification (International admissions).

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Alliant

  • Upload scanned color copies of each record with its certified translation to your Alliant application; after acceptance, bring or send the official documents to admissions or International Student Services (International admissions).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
