How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Alcorn State University requires international applicants' high school and college transcripts to be evaluated course by course by a professional credential evaluation service, and lets you choose any NACES member; it publishes no translation rule of its own.
Alcorn's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
You order the translation first and send it to the agency; the evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

Which agency
Any NACES member; list Alcorn as the report recipient (International students).
Tests
ACT composite 18 or SAT equivalent; TOEFL 525 paper, 195 computer or 71 internet-based, unless waived (International students).
I-20

What the evaluation agencies ask for the translation
Because Alcorn accepts any NACES member, the agency's own rule decides.
WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator; ECE accepts any complete, literal translation or translates internally for an $85 waiver; IERF asks for typed, line-by-line translations and may require a professional one.
A few NACES members accept only translators certified by ATA, which eVerbary can provide on request.
Course-by-course from the start
Alcorn notes that a course-by-course evaluation is normally necessary, even when you send only high school records (International students).
That report lists every subject and grade, so translate every year of the transcript in full. Alcorn also requires an ACT or SAT score and evidence of financial support before arrival.

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.

Uploading the translation to Alcorn
The translation goes to the NACES agency with your records; list Alcorn as the recipient so the course-by-course report reaches Admissions (International students).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Alcorn that means we translate your records; the course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from a NACES member.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
