Translation first, evaluation second
Alabama State spells out the order: transcripts that are not in English must be translated by an official translation service, and once translated they are forwarded to an evaluation agency (international checklist).
The checklist names Lisano International in Auburn, Alabama, with the instruction to request a "Document Evaluation" and have a copy sent to ASU; World Education Services; or any NACES member.
Order the certified translation of secondary and college transcripts first, then open the agency file with the translation attached.
WES accepts a word-for-word translation from a professional translation service; if you choose another NACES member, check its own rule before ordering. Documents go to International Affairs, P.O. Box 271, Montgomery, AL 36101-0271.
Graduate applicants
For graduate study, ASU asks for an original copy of your college transcript evaluated in English on a 4.0 scale by an accredited international evaluation agency such as WES, plus an affidavit of financial support; priority deadlines are April 15 for fall, November 15 for spring and March 15 for summer (graduate admissions). The translation goes to the agency with the transcript.

Uploading the translation to Alabama State
Send the translation to Lisano, WES or the NACES agency with your transcripts; the evaluation and your other documents go to Alabama State, International Affairs, P.O. Box 271, Montgomery, AL 36101-0271 (International student checklist).
On request we can email the translation directly to the admissions office or the agency.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Alabama State that means we translate your transcripts; the Lisano, WES or NACES evaluation is ordered by you after the translation.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
