Proving who owns a company
Ownership evidence takes a different form in every system. Some countries keep a libro de accionistas or livro de registro de ações at the company. Some record ownership in a commercial registry extract that anyone can pull. Some use quotas rather than shares, so there is no certificate at all and the constitutive instrument names the holders. Some use a notarial share transfer deed.
