The labour medical assessment
Cuban disability determination runs principally through peritaje médico laboral — a labour medical assessment by a commission — which determines incapacity for work and its degree for social security purposes.
There is no general disability card of the Latin American kind. The commission decision is the document, and we name the commission and reproduce its finding.

Cuban documents carry the carné de identidad number, eleven digits built from the date of birth plus a serial, which identifies the person and does not change.
